Q: Will the new wireless system work with my existing computer?

A: Yes, if your existing computer meets the following requirements:

1. Operating System - Your system must be running Microsoft Windows® 98 or later, or Macintosh® OS 8.5 or later. This includes Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows Me, and Windows 2000. Note that Windows 95 is not supported.
2. Memory - Your system must have at least 64MB of RAM installed.
3. Network Card - The wireless modem connects to your computer through your computer's Network Card or USB port. A Network Card is preferable. Either should be installed and available in advance of ordering the wireless modem.

Q: How fast will my connection be?

A: Two wireless systems have been installed. One is for small businesses and residential customers, and will support speeds up to 2.0 Mbps. This is twice as fast as the telephone company's DSL.

The second system is for commercial business and government accounts, and will handle speeds up to 10.0 Mbps (fractional DS-3). The "standard" subscriber packages are explained in more detail on the "Services" Page. Customized packages are also available.

Q: What if I need help with the installation?

A: The modem, cables, outdoor antenna, and Network Card are fairly simple to install; however, if you do need help, instructions will be included with the modem package. Please note that there will additional charges should you require on-site assistance with equipment installation.
